Meet Emma Garrity, Home-Based Coach

Emma Garrity is a home-based coach at Greatest Moments Therapy, where she works with school-age kids and young adults who feel stuck, whether that means struggling to attend school, avoiding schoolwork and friendships, or having trouble taking the first steps into adult life.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Montclair State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Her training includes cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and child development, the science behind how kids and young adults grow, learn, and overcome challenges. She also completed training as a behavioral technician in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), giving her practical, evidence-based tools to build positive behaviors and break down big goals into small, achievable steps.

Before joining Greatest Moments Therapy, Emma worked as a psychology intern at a psychotherapy and neurofeedback practice, where she supported clients working through anxiety, ADHD, and other challenges. She has also spent years working directly with children and teens as a camp counselor and climbing instructor, helping young people build confidence, work through conflicts, and try things that once felt too scary.

What makes Emma a great fit for home-based coaching is her natural ability to meet people where they are. She knows that real progress starts with trust, patience, and small wins. Whether she's helping a child get ready for the school day, practicing life skills with a young adult, or simply being a steady, encouraging presence, Emma brings warmth, structure, and genuine care to every family she works with.
